PhD Course/Training School:

The philosophy of time.
Aalborg University, Feb. 15-17, 2011

The Research School under PhD programme in Human Centered Communication and Informatics (HCCI) at Aalborg University, Denmark, in co-operation with the TIMELY project is organising a PhD Course/Training School on the philosophy of time. The main focus of the course will be on the conceptual and philosophical analysis of time and the review of the operational definitions of the various aspects of time perception that may provide a common-interdisciplinary grounding of the concept of time.

The course will also cover more specific themes from the study of time such as

  • Time and human experience
  • Static and dynamic time
  • Metaphysics of time
  • The logic of time
  • Ideas of time in modern society
